PDI-P Expresses Gratitude for Anies Baswedan’s Support in Pilkada DKI Victory
Chairman of the DPP PDI Perjuangan Executive Election Victory Division, Deddy Yevri Sitorus, has expressed his gratitude to the residents of DKI Jakarta and Anies Baswedan for the victory of the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel) pair in the 2024 simultaneous regional elections. Deddy appreciates the significant role Anies played in giving full support to the number 3 pair.
“We in the Jakarta regional elections must express our gratitude to two parties. In addition to the people of DKI, certainly to Mr. Anies Baswedan who ensured our victory,” Deddy said as quoted from Antara, Friday (29/11/2024).
Anies Baswedan had previously openly declared his support for Pramono Anung-Rano Karno at an event in Blok S Field, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Thursday (21/11). In his speech, Anies mentioned that the Pram-Doel pair has a vision that aligns with continuing development in the capital.
“I am grateful that Mas Pram and Bang Doel are getting stronger day by day. Hopefully, the continuity of programs in Jakarta will run smoothly under the leadership of Mas Pram later,” Anies said at the event.
Political observer from Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO), Dedi Kurnia Syah, considers Anies’ support to have a significant impact on the electability of the number 3 pair. He describes this support as a “windfall” for Pramono-Rano because Anies’ voters come from different backgrounds, thus able to add significantly to their votes.
“Anies Baswedan’s open support for Pramono has had a positive impact on his electability. Considering that Anies’ voters come from different backgrounds, this opens up additional significant vote opportunities,” said Dedi in his statement in Jakarta on Friday (22/11).
