Netizens Memberikan Apresiasi pada Aksi Cepat Prabowo Subianto Melawan Korupsi: “Tetaplah Berjuang, Tuan!”

Jakarta — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has garnered significant attention on social media for his administration’s rapid moves to combat corruption. Netizens across platforms have praised Prabowo for the swift crackdown on corrupt officials shortly after his inauguration.

Many noted the recent arrests and investigations into alleged corruption cases that have surfaced since Prabowo and Vice President Gibran took office.

“Keep going, Sir, take down the corrupt officials damaging our country,” wrote Instagram user @folkshitt, receiving numerous supportive replies.

In the early days of Prabowo’s administration, several major corruption cases have come to light. These include the arrest of a former Acting Head of Education in Mandailing Natal on charges related to a 4.7 billion rupiah corruption case, a former Supreme Court official suspected of case brokering, and, most recently, revelations from the Attorney General’s Office about a sugar import corruption case that implicated former Trade Minister Tom Lembong, resulting in an estimated state loss of 400 billion rupiah.

“Every day there’s someone else being caught! Over four cases a day—slow down a bit, sir, I get startled easily,” commented user @renaldifirgiansy*** in response to the news.

“WOHO000 KEEP GOING, MR. PRESIDENT!!!” shouted user @sisilia*** in enthusiastic support.

On TikTok, users echoed similar sentiments, with many expressing appreciation for Prabowo’s determination to tackle corruption within his first few weeks in office.

“It hasn’t even been a month,” noted user @radhii.exe, sharing a compilation of recent corruption cases uncovered in just a few days.

“First time seeing a man who stands by his word,” commented @wynaaaaaaa***.

“Close my eyes for a moment, and someone else gets caught. Impressive,” wrote user @janes***.

“Prabowo: A day in my life cleaning up the country,” joked @MiaMulyaTriy***.

In several appearances following his inauguration, Prabowo has repeatedly emphasized his commitment to fighting corruption. He reiterated his stance that “a fish rots from the head” during a speech at the Indonesian Military Academy in Magelang on October 25-27—a line he first used in his inaugural speech on October 20.

Prabowo has also made it clear that he will not hesitate to ask any of his officials to step down if they do not share his vision and commitment to anti-corruption efforts. (RR)
