Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the vice presidential candidate number two from the Koalisi Indonesia Maju, has emphasized the importance of supporting the creative economic industry and providing easy financing facilities. He stated that the creative economic industry has grown rapidly during the Covid-19 pandemic and continues to develop. Therefore, he highlighted the need for the government to continue supporting and nurturing start-ups within the industry.
Gibran gave an example in Solo where there is a special start-up program in local banks that helps with initial capital. This program aims to make it easier for young people to develop their businesses, especially when they do not have assets that can be used as collateral.
In an interview titled “Info A1 This Time Gibran Talks Long, Ready for Debate?” on YouTube, Gibran mentioned that programs like the one in Solo can serve as a basis for the government to make it easier for players in the creative industry across Indonesia. He urged for the nationalization of such programs to support the industry as a whole. This stance reflects his commitment to facilitating access to capital for start-ups in the creative industry.
