VIETNAM – Vietnam has become one of the destinations for Indonesian tourists who want to vacation abroad. According to data from the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism quoted by VNExpress, Vietnam has recorded a significant increase in Indonesian tourists, reaching 188 percent in 2024.

Phu Quoc Vietnam

Phu Quoc, located on the southwest coast of Vietnam, is known for its cool climate all year round, clear blue-green waters, long white sandy beaches, and world-class resorts. International tourists can also enjoy Vietnam’s visa-free scheme, allowing a stay of up to 30 days on the island.

To facilitate travel to Vietnam, Vietjet airlines have expanded their travel options to the best coastal destinations in Vietnam, such as Nha Trang and Phu Quoc, while expanding their international reach.

Vietjet has increased flight frequencies on direct routes connecting Phu Quoc with Seoul (via Incheon International Airport) from 2 to 3 round trips per day, starting from June 14, 2024. Starting from July 19 onwards, the airline will also double the frequency of flights between the two routes. The coastal cities of Nha Trang and Busan from 1 to 2 round trips per day.

With this expansion, Vietjet now offers up to 21 round trips per day, equivalent to 147 round trips per week, between Vietnam and South Korea.

Currently, Vietjet operates four routes connecting Vietnam and Indonesia, namely Jakarta to Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta to Hanoi, Bali to Ho Chi Minh City, and Bali to Hanoi. In addition to these destinations, tourists can also continue their journey to Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Seoul, Busan, and other locations with Vietjet.

The airline has recently added 1.4 million seats to its domestic flight network and launched several new international routes. They also offer attractive deals every Friday until the end of 2024, starting from Rp1 million (including taxes and fees). This package includes a 20kg baggage allowance and free SkyCare travel insurance.
